In Living Color

Dont you just love inspiration pictures. I have been spending lots of time trying to find the perfect inspiration picture for my living room space.

Thank you to all four of you you commeted on my paint choice dilema for this room, you helped me narrow my choices down to Latte and Tobacco Road. That is until I happened upon the Better Homes and Garden website and saw this.

Isn't it just beatiful and is exactly what I have been looking for. With my near zero dollar budget I am going to have to be really creative and very patient. I think I can handle the creative part, but me and patient, don't mix really well. I have some of the pieces like the green couch, but for the most part I will be on a hunt for new items starting with the robins egg blue paint color and will be doing the board and batten technique that Kimba just talked about last week, what a coincidence. Have any of you painted a robins egg blue color that you just love, please share!!!!!!
Over the next few (hopefully its only a few) months I will show you the transformation. I can't wait to get started.

Heres a reminder of what the room currently looks like? Do you think this will work? I'd love to hear from you!!!!!

  1. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything about this pic! The colors are amazing and happy. This girl is ALL about the BHG...they are never short on inspiration!

Do you ever visit Susie at Bienvenue? She painted her kitchen the most lovely shade of robin's egg blue. You can click on her from my blog roll.

    Good Luck ~ Amanda

  2. It's beautiful! Check in at your local home improvement stores. Quite often , they have oops paint that people change their mind on, and you an get if for $5/gallon.

  3. LOVE that room!!! Everything about it is beautiful.

  4. I love your inspiration picture~I was just going to say what Amanda did~susie has a beautiful color I think she just talked about today. I think you could definitely do that style in your room~can't wait to see!!

  5. That room is fabulous! It's upbeat, colorful, and eclectic. I'll take it!

Our local Benjamin Moore paint shop actually lets you borrow paint so you can try it out before buying a lot of it. That may be an option for you in your search to find the perfect blue.

    I see the lamp!
