I'm trying to decide what to do with it.
Before the redo it looked like this
But I moved the cabinet to the middle of the room to act as an island so I am left with a big wall of nothing.
Longgggg ago the blank wall had three floral pictures, but it didnt really cut the mustard as they say. See what I mean, the red and green just wasnt the look I really wanted.
I'm leaning toward a gallery wall and have been searching for inspiration because I am a visual decorator, I need to see it first.
Here are a few gallery walls that caught my attention.
Weclome to Heardmont has a really cool and eccletic gallery wall in her living area. I like how she mixed frames and has a lot of texureal interest with the rattan charger and the small round mirrors.
And here Caitlin Wilson designed a wall that is a mix of the two, different colored frames that run down the wall close to the baseboards. This image really made my decorating heart skip a beat because of the pink art which would complement my new DIY tablecloth drapes.
i think a gallery wall would be perfect. where did you get your island?
ReplyDeleteTammy,
ReplyDeleteI got the island a longgg time ago at Target. I bet they have something similar and I just saw one that I really like in Ikea.
Yeah! I love this idea! I always love to see Gallery walls! I've never had the guts to do one myself. Maybe someday.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be very pretty with white frames! :)
ReplyDeleteGo for the gallery wall. You'll love it and they're so much fun. The wall @ YHL is making me want to redo my own again.
ReplyDeleteTammy took the words from my mouth. ;) I think a gallery wall would work really well in the space. Those are fun to do. Thanks so much for the visit today! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Ches!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for including me in your gallery wall round-up and for your sweet comments on our bathroom makeover! It's always fun to meet bloggers with similar tastes! :)
Meredith @ Welcome to Heardmont
Your space is absolutely perfect for a gallery wall! I love the one that goes all the way close to the baseboards! I have such a bad habit of hanging stuff at & above eye level!!! GO FOR IT! Can't wait to see what you decide!
ReplyDeleteI love the ones that go to the baseboard too and the all white frames! I'll be back to see what you decide to do.

I vote for the gallery wall. Btw, you asked me, "By the way how do you get all of those linky buttons so neat at the bottom of your post, do tell :)" Can you please email me and I'll give you my reply? The comment won't allow me for html codes.
ReplyDeleteYes, a gallery wall would be great there. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
